In 2013, Nana Ama McBrown’s life was forever changed when she was involved in a life-threatening motor accident on the N1 Highway in Accra. While the initial aftermath seemed to have little impact on her life, the pain and hurt began to surface in 2021, forcing her to undergo multiple surgeries to correct the defect.

The Empress of Ghanaian entertainment has already undergone four surgeries on her hand, with three in Ghana and one in Germany, yet she still faces one more operation, which will likely be her last. The broken bones have been replaced with metal and screws, leaving her with a constant reminder of her ordeal.

When asked how she feels when she sees the scars, McBrown’s response is both heartbreaking and inspiring: “It reminds me about life.” The pain she endures when doing anything strenuous with her hands is excruciating, a constant reminder of the accident that has forever changed her life.
