Ghanaian dancehall Artist, Stonebwoy has finally shared the inspiring story behind his latest collaboration, “Jejereje,” featuring Amsterdam-based guitarist and producer Ginton. In an exclusive interview with Power 105.1 FM in New York, Stonebwoy delved into the motivations behind the viral hit.
According to Stonebwoy, “Jejereje” is a folk song aimed at easing the tension surrounding Ghana’s upcoming December general elections and the recent anti-Galamsey demonstrations. “This song is a fun one that’s breathing life into the nation right now,” he explained. “It’s an election season, and political parties are campaigning, causing tension across the country. This song serves as a relief.”
Stonebwoy emphasized that “Jejereje” resonates with the everyday struggles of many Ghanaians. “It’s a song that relates to the problems people face daily,” he added.
