Shatta Wale Reveals Shocking Childhood Wealth: “I Had GH¢750,000 at 14”

Renowned Ghanaian Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale, made a stunning revelation on the Rants, Bants, and Confession podcast, released October 31, 2024.

By age 14, Shatta Wale claimed to have amassed an astonishing GH¢750,000 in his bank account. He credited his wealthy upbringing, courtesy of his father, who provided him with foreign currency for daily expenses.

“I started saving at 14 as a rich kid,” Shatta Wale shared. “I lied about my age to open a Prudential Bank account, saying I was 18.” His father spoiled him, buying all his clothes and giving him pounds and dollars.

Shatta Wale recalled driving to the bank alone, with the manager aware of his true age. However, his fortunes reversed, and he faced financial hardship.

“I forgot about the saved money until after my Bandana days,” he admitted. “When I tried to retrieve it, the bank claimed my name wasn’t in the system.”
