Gyakie Breaks Down: My First KNUST Performance Ended in Tears

In a recent interview with Kwaku Manu on Aggressive show, ghanaian singer Gyakie recounts her challenging stage debut at KNUST’s Republic Hall SRC Week. Technical issues plagued her performance, with speakers malfunctioning mid-show.

According to Gyakie, the crowd’s reactions were mixed, with some hooting and others trying to encourage her. Despite powering through her set, Gyakie felt overwhelmed and uncertain. “When I got backstage, I cried because I regretted going there,” she admitted. This tough experience was a humbling moment in her early career. Gyakie has since grown into a successful artist, learning from the incident and using it as a stepping stone for growth and improvement in her craft.
