Kuami Eugene Clarifies: My Trip to Volta Was Pure Evangelism

Renowned Ghanaian singer and songwriter Kuami Eugene has dismissed rumors surrounding his trip to the Volta Region, stressing that the visit was strictly for evangelistic work.

In a recent interview on Hitz FM on July 2, the “Angela” hitmaker clarified that before fame took hold, he embarked on a spiritual journey to the Volta Region which was not for superstitious or “juju” reasons, as some speculated, but rather to participate in church-based activities .

He explained that the experience involved church visits across towns like Afiadenyigba, Atiavi, and Keta, where he and his team engaged in preaching, worship, and prayer sessions . “What I was doing in Volta is practically evangelism,” he emphasized .

According to Kuami Eugene, the spiritual atmosphere and dedicated prayer during that time served as a catalyst. Soon after returning to Accra, positive changes began to unfold in his life and musical career .

He expressed frustration that some Ghanaians immediately jumped to stereotypical conclusions, suggesting he sought mystical or occult assistance in Volta rather than spiritual blessing. He encouraged the public to consume the full context before judging .
