“You Are Such a Liar; You’re Not the Only Person Who Discovered Ebony” – MC Yaa Yeboah Fires Bullet

On May 31st, 2025, a heated moment unfolded live on UTV’s United Showbiz when media personality MC Yaa Yeboah publicly challenged Bullet, former manager of the late dancehall icon Ebony Reigns, over his long-standing claim of being the sole person who discovered the singer.

The show, hosted by Empress Gifty , featured a panel including  Amerado, Bullgod, Nana Romeo, and MC Yaa Yeboah. What began as a reflective conversation about Ebony’s legacy quickly turned intense when the topic of her discovery came up.

MC Yaa Yeboah did not mince words, confronting Bullet directly:

You are such a liar. You’re not the only person who discovered Ebony,” she stated bluntly. “There were others who contributed to her rise. You need to acknowledge that and stop rewriting history.”

The comment sparked visible tension on set, prompting attempts by Nana Romeo and Bullgod to deescalate the situation. Amerado, choosing to stay neutral, noted that it’s not uncommon in the industry for multiple people to play crucial roles in an artist’s growth — and all deserve recognition.

The exchange quickly went viral, with clips circulating across social media platforms. Many viewers praised MC Yaa Yeboah for calling out what they saw as an attempt to monopolize credit for Ebony’s success. Others, however, defended Bullet’s contribution, noting his role in managing and promoting Ebony until her tragic passing in 2018.

The incident has reignited conversations about how credit is given or denied in Ghana’s entertainment industry.
