Ghanaian Legend musician, KK Kabobo has raised concerns over how some award schemes in Ghana are collapsing our music industry.
The Highlife musician, speaking in an Interview with Akwasi Ampfo Twistter on Time Fm 96.9 attested the fact that most awards scheme in ghana instead of rewarding artists based on the works they put out but rather reward artiste who has the highest vote even tho may not have good works out there.
He added that most investors go into partnership to invest into award schemes in Ghana, not with the basis of marketing and earning huge returns so the criteria are focused on people with high votes rather than those with talents.
He stated that “when you watch these variety shows in ghana, you see there are people who deserve to win because they are talented and they have passion for what they are doing, but in the long run they get evicted because their votes are low where the organizers forget the fact that they are really talented”
