Gospel singer Esther Smith shared a remarkable story of how her life was spared when her mother attempted to abort her. In an interview with Accra FM’s Nana Romeo, Esther revealed that her mother, a student at the time, was scared of her father’s reaction and planned to terminate the pregnancy at Komfo Anokye Clinic.

However, fate intervened when her mother’s aunt encountered her route to the clinic and confronted her about her intentions. The aunt’s intervention led to Esther’s father being informed, and he quickly stopped the abortion.

Esther’s mother had also taken drugs to induce the abortion, but none were effective. The singer believes that her life was spared for a greater purpose, as a pastor had prophesied to her mother that the baby she was carrying would become a prominent figure in Ghana.

Despite her mother’s initial plans, Esther has grown to become a successful gospel musician, fulfilling the prophecy and inspiring countless lives through her music.
