Burna Boy’s outstanding contributions have earned him four nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards. In their congratulatory message to the artist and others, The Grammys made it clear that there is no larger star in the realm of Afrobeats or in the entire continent of Africa than Burna Boy. This self-proclaimed “African Giant” has secured two successive Grammy nominations for Best Global Album, recognizing his work on “Twice as Tall” and “African Giant.” His global influence is further demonstrated by his collaborations with music icons like Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber.
However, in Ghana, the initial enthusiasm and anticipation among music enthusiasts and devoted followers of the award-winning Dancehall artist, Stonebwoy, took a disheartening turn due to the Recording Academy’s announcement.
