Michael Owusu Addo, better known in the entertainment industry as Sarkodie, was named Artist of the Decade at the annual Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. He has revealed his most embarrassing experience on stage.

The music artist addressed a variety of interesting questions in a new interview published by Trace Naija. In this same interview, Sarkodie made mentioned some of his favourite rappers in the world. He also admitted to being “dragged out” of a nightclub.

Sarkodie described the incident as follows: “When I was younger, it happened in a nightclub. The artist ego stepped in, and I believe something happened. I’m not sure what occurred, but I became enraged and was all over the place. The club owner approached me while I was performing, attempting to calm me down. I had no idea who he was. I was still attempting to vent on him, and he reminded me of a bodybuilder. He grabbed my neck to stop it from going any farther. That was extremely humiliating. I was literally dragged out of the club by him (yeah).

Sarkodie has stated that in the next five years, he wants to “be the brain behind Ghana’s music system.”
