Shatta Wale, the king of dancehall, was recently compared to the legendary Daddy Lumba by social media influencers on X. However, Shatta Wale found this comparison disrespectful and addressed the trend.
“It’s very disrespectful to compare me to the legend Daddy Lumba,” he said. “Everyone should stop that because the man paved the way for your favorites and me myself.”
Shatta Wale also pointed out that this kind of comparison makes his fellow artists try to compare themselves to his old brand, “Bandana”. He mentioned that Stonebwoy wants to compare himself to Bandana and Batman.
Shatta Wale believes that this trend is a setup to make him hated for no reason. “This is what my opponents do to tarnish my image in public,” he said. “They want to compare me and Lumba so that the oldies will hate me and say I don’t respect.”
