Just hours after declaring himself the new Guinness World Record holder for the longest cooking marathon, Chef Smith has been arrested and detained at the La police station on allegations of fraud after his press conference which was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, where he claimed to have cooked continuously for 820 hours from February 1 to March 6, 2024.

In an interview on hitfm, Eyewitnesses who are journalist report that the police who came around to arrest chef smith seized their phones and instructed them to delete all videos and evidence related to chef smith record attempt at his conference.

In addition to the fraud allegations, Chef Smith is also accused of breaching a contract with Nana Boroo. According to reports, Boroo had sponsored Smith’s record attempt and had a contract with him, but Smith allegedly violated the terms of the contract by not fulfilling his obligations.

This contract breach led to a dispute between the two parties, which ultimately resulted in Boroo calling the police and accusing Smith of fraud. So, it appears that there are multiple issues at play here, including fraud allegations and a contract dispute.
