Ras Kuuku, a reggae dancehall artist, has explained why Nigerian musicians are succeeding internationally more than their Ghanaian counterparts.
Speaking on Property FM in Cape Coast with Amansan Krakye, Ras Kuuku said the plugs that the Nigerian artistes have isn’t like what we have in Ghana.
“As for the songs the whole of Africa everyone is doing their bits and shooting music videos but most importantly is about how you to push it to go out there,” he said.
“The plugs that the Nigerian artistes have, the manner and the style of how they do their works isn’t like what we do here in Ghana,” he added as MyNewsGh.com observed.
“I remember a promoter told me in New York that Ghanaian artistes don’t come together to stage a show there but there’s a collaboration with the Nigerians.
“In our case the individualism is too much so some artistes from Ghana who stage shows outside face a lot of disappointment when they get there.
“But gradually we are also learning especially the young ones so it’s better to have strength in our numbers than to go in singles,” he posited.
