Ghanaian musician Keche Joshua, a member of the popular music group Keche, has apologized to the rising artiste King Paluta for his recent public outburst. Joshua had accused king Paluta for failing to promote their collaborative song “My Father”.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz FM, Joshua reflected on his earlier words, admitting that they were harsh and unacceptable. “I have no problem with King Paluta. He’s my brother… People have pointed out that I used some words in the video I shared. I was angry, that’s why I used those words. I’m so sorry about it,” he said.
Joshua explained that his frustration stemmed from Paluta’s apparent lack of enthusiasm in promoting their song, despite being featured on it. “The thing is that we collaborated with him. The song belongs to both of us. He can perform the song anywhere. So if I collaborate with him, I expect him to at least put some energy into it,” he stated.
According to Joshua, Paluta’s refusal to promote their song, while actively supporting other artists like Eno Barony, made it seem like he didn’t want to work with Keche in the first place. “That’s what we felt,” he added.
Joshua also clarified that King Paluta did not charge them for his verse on the song and would benefit from the royalties. He further revealed that efforts are underway to shoot a music video for the song, with King Paluta’s management already making arrangements for his involvement.
“I spoke to the manager, but was informed that King Paluta is in the UK right now. But I was told to talk to somebody to get his size and everything. So the arrangement is there; when King Paluta is ready to shoot, I will be happy,” Joshua said.
By apologizing and explaining his side of the story, Keche Joshua has taken a step towards resolving the issue and maintaining a positive relationship with King Paluta.
