Ghanaian musician Keche Joshua has expressed frustration over the attitude of young artists, emphasizing that collaborations with established acts are opportunities, not entitlements.
“Being featured by a big artist means they’re paving the way for you to blow,” Joshua stressed. He said this on an interview on Original Tv as their new song keeps on trending Nation wide.
“Take Sarkodie and Kuami Eugene, for instance. If Sarkodie features Kuami Eugene, Kuami Eugene needs sarkodie More than Sarkodie Needs him.”
Joshua lamented that many young artists lack gratitude and humility, expecting instant success without putting in the work. Keche humbly used some legends like Obrafoc and Daddy Lumba that any artist need them more than they do and everyone should respect that.
As a veteran in the industry, Keche Joshua’s group which is Keche Global has been active for over 16 years, consistently pushing boundaries and paving the way for younger talent. “We’ve been here for over a decade, contributing to the growth of Ghanaian music,” Joshua said.
Joshua’s comments highlight the importance of humility, gratitude, and mutual respect in Ghana’s music industry. By acknowledging the value of collaborations and the support of established artists, young talent can build stronger foundations for their careers.
