Since December 2012, Ghana has always had one trademark show “The Rapperholic concert” . What started as Sarkodie’s own headline concert has grown into one of the nation’s biggest annual music traditions, pulling fans from across Africa and beyond.
Over the years, Rapperholic has hosted countless surprise guest stars, set fashion and stage design trends, and stamped December 25th as “Sark Day” on Ghana’s entertainment calendar.
Now, for the first time ever, the Rapperholic brand is leaving Accra for a full-scale Homecoming Edition in Kumasi on 27th September 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The excitement is already boiling. Sark Natives in Kumasi, which is the rapper’s loyal fanbase, are on the streets and on the airwaves, pushing ticket sales and painting the city with Sarkodie’s image. Local radio stations have caught the wave, and billboards are springing up around the city, turning the countdown into a festival of its own.
Backing them are some of Kumasi’s most beloved entertainers and influencers. Dr Likee (Ras Nene), Kyekyeku, the legendary Agya Koo and Kumasi Natives have all thrown their weight behind the event, recording skits, videos, and messages hyping the concert. Their involvement bridges generations from Kumawood lovers to social media audiences ensuring no one in Kumasi misses the call.
Earlier this year, Sarkodie himself sealed the deal when he visited the Asantehene, seeking and receiving blessings for the show. With that royal nod, the stage is more than just a performance ground, it’s a cultural reunion.
On the night, fans can expect the signature of the Rapperholic experience: a masterclass in rap, electrifying collaborations, surprise guest artistes, and the unmatched energy that only the King of Rap brings. But this time, it won’t just be Accra feeling the fire, Kumasi will own Rapperholic.
The countdown is on 10 days to go. Baba Yara Stadium will be more than a venue; it will be history in the making.
