Controversial Ghanaian musician and satirist, Kwame A Plus, has announced his intention to run as an independent candidate for the Member of Parliament seat in the Gomoa Central constituency.
In a recent interview on Hitz FM, A Plus revealed that his decision to enter politics has led to concerns for his safety. He stated, “You go to bed with your phone, I go to bed with a gun,” suggesting that he now sleeps with a firearm due to the risks associated with his political ambition.
A Plus’s bold move into politics has generated significant attention, and his comments have sparked debate about the security of political candidates in Ghana. As the election season approaches, A Plus’s campaign is likely to be closely watched.
