King Promise recently opened up about his disappointment in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz 103.9 FM today. We all know He was nominated for the prestigious TGMA Artiste of the Year award, but ultimately lost to Stonebwoy. Despite this setback, King Promise showed remarkable grace and humility, saying, “I felt disappointed, but I’m okay with it. It’s a competition, and someone has to win. I’m just grateful for the opportunity to have been nominated.”
King Promise also took the opportunity to reflect on his journey in the music industry, highlighting his remarkable progress from humble beginnings to achieving success. “I’ve come a long way, from getting seven nominations and not winning anything, to winning three awards in one night,” he said. “It’s been a journey of hard work and perseverance, and I’m proud of what I’ve achieved.”
After the event, according to King Promise, he chose to celebrate his three wins at a club, surrounded by friends and fans, rather than dwell on his loss. He politely declined to discuss the topic further, saying, “I don’t want to continue talking about this, as it may evoke strong emotions in some people. I’d rather focus on the positive and look forward to the future.”
