“Meeting Us Every Time Won’t Solve Anything” – Papa Kumasi Tells Ashanti Regional Minister 

Kumawood actor and media personality Papa Kumasi has expressed frustration over the repeated meetings held by the Ashanti Regional Minister aimed at reviving the local film industry. Speaking to GhPage’s hosts Rashad and King Asu B, he called for concrete action rather than just discussions.

He questioned the inclusivity of these meetings, asking whether they were open to all industry players or limited to a few. He noted that not many in the Kumawood community have been attending, saying most are either busy with work or aren’t convinced of their usefulness .

Papa Kumasi emphasized that despite numerous gatherings, like the one held on June 1, the industry continues to struggle. He urged the minister and other leaders to dig deeper to understand the real issues hindering Kumawood, instead of hosting more “irrelevant” meetings.
